This course was excellent, and met the needs of every member attending. It was organised and efficient, allowing us to develop our current skills and knowledge without going over information we already knew. Throughout the weekend we were asked to justify our actions and decisions in different contexts, which allowed us to gain confidence in our abilities as a leader. We were given many different scenarios to discuss and evaluate, from bike maintenance to first aid. I found that I now have a clear idea of areas I need to improve on, however I feel very competent to take out a group of students and I can’t wait to get started! The location, hospitality and general atmosphere of the course was perfect – I have never enjoyed INSET more and am certain to return for further qualifications. Thank you!

The level 3 MIAS course was conducted on some truly inspiring countryside of the Peak District incorporating both beautiful and challenging terrain. The training was progressive and allowed plenty of time for development, discussions, sharing of ideas and best practice with both Dave and the other participants. Dave has a wealth of experience and shares his expertise on a range of excellent scenarios. A couple of thoroughly enjoyable weekends of great biking!

Over the years I have qualified as a coach in many different sports. I really enjoy working with highly qualified and motivational people who are experts in their field. Working with Dave Barham and his team was an exceptional experience. I came away from the course with improved riding skils, increased knowledge, qualifications and the confidence to go on improving my own riding and that of my students. If you would like to improve yopur riding skills, your maintanance knowledge or qualify as a mountainbiking instructor, I would highly recommend Dave, Andy and Claudia.

I would like to say that we all really enjoyed the course. We learnt such a lot from Andy and Dave and I dont think we could have had more patient and knowledgable instructors. I would also like to thank you for your hospitality and warm welcome. It was nice to spend time with genuine people who have a pssion for their sport and who are willing to teach others - I am sure the time spent with you will live long in our memeories.
