What we offer

We are specialists in mountainbike training and the regional providers of Mountainbike Instructor Training courses. Our programmes and training locations are designed to help you gain the necessary skills to ride your bike with confidence or teach and lead groups in safety and enjoyment. Because the staff are education professionals and specialists in staff development, they know how to give you the support and feedback you want. Sometimes we will use video analysis to help you pinpoint a development focus.

All courses based from Leeds include full refreshments on Day 1 of your course.

MIAS (Mountain Bike Instructor Award Scheme)

These courses are designed for those who want to lead mountainbike groups from a club, outdoor centre, school or youth club. The MIAS Leadership awards are recognised by the Adventure Activity Licencing Service (LS) and Association of British Cycle Coaches (ABCC)

Mountain Biking – Women Only Courses

We offer a specialist service that guarantees at least one female instructor or guide for Personal Skill and Guided Ride Days.

Essential maintenance & trail-side repairs

In half a day we can show you how to clean and maintain your bike so that it runs as smoothly as the day you bought it. Why not combine a morning of maintenance and trailside repair tuition with an afternoon Guided Ride or Personal Skills session? Get a team of 4 together and we will give you a ‘4 for 3’ deal and provide lunch!

Personal skills development days

These are half, one or two day options at the ‘New to Mountainbiking’, ‘Improvers’ or ‘Advanced’ level. These are designed to enable you to ride routes on terrain you can enjoy. You will also develop trailside repair techniques, route planning, navigation and emergency management skills to help you look after friends and family. They can be a one to one arrangement or organised for a group of friends and work from our base or from a location of your choice.
